This place suits me perfectly! The 24-hour reception, free wi-fi in public areas, and paid airport shuttle provide everything I need. On my first stay, the staff helped me find transport. I’m coming back for a romantic escape!

really enjoyed my stay at acorn lodge. the room was super comfy and the staff were all friendly n helpful. loved that there was a restaurant on site with some great food options. parking was a breeze, and the airport shuttle was super handy for my early flight. overall a really good value for the price!
only downside was the room felt a bit old and maybe could use some fresh paint. also, it was kinda noisy at times from the street outside.

Great staff and tasty eats!
Had a lovely night here. The staff were super nice and really attentive! We were stoked to find an Indian and Bangladeshi restaurant right there. The shuttle to the airport was a breeze with such a friendly driver. Just wish the room was a bit bigger. Definitely cramped for two.

You’ve gotta check out that on-site Indian restaurant! The Lamb Madras was on point, and they serve a self-serve brekkie for those early starts. Plus, the bus to Gatwick is just a stone’s throw away—super handy!
The room had a bit of a mouldy whiff, and while we enjoyed a spicy dinner, the breakfast left much to be desired. Shuttle to the airport was a tad confusing with small kids in tow.

Quirky stay with good food
So we stayed for 1 night. It’s an interesting spot, with an Indian restaurant on-site, which is a nice touch since you can bring your own drinks. The staff were super busy but managed to be friendly. Our room was okay but could really use some updating. the food was tasty and decent for the price.

More power sockets in the room would be helpful.

great access to local parks and restaurants
I truly enjoyed my stay as I was able to walk to the charming Church of St Bartholomew just a few steps away and found Riverside Garden Park less than a kilometer from the hotel, perfect for a relaxing stroll after a long flight. the staff were attentive and made me feel welcome right from the start, and the room was spotlessly clean, which is a huge plus for any traveler like me who prefers to explore the city's attractions.

Awesome family-run vibe!
Had a cozy stay at this little gem! The staff were super friendly and really went above and beyond, arranging timely transport and even a great curry for dinner. The only bummer was the parking, which felt a bit tight and chaotic. Still, the overall experience was solid, and I'd definitely recommend it for anyone looking for a personal touch!

missingWrote a review on Apr 22spacious suiteearly breakfastfriendly staffmessy parking lot
The family suite was spacious, giving us plenty of room to spread out. We really appreciated the early breakfast that started at 4 AM before our flight, and the kids enjoyed exploring nearby attractions like Effingham Park Golf Course. Friendly staff added to the pleasant atmosphere.
My kids wished for a cleaner outdoor area where they could play. The parking lot was messy and uninviting, making it less family-friendly than expected.
